PROFESSIONAL ACCREDITATION CRITERIA
Professional accreditation is the process to be completed in order to become a professional member of the Australian Film Institute.
Those experienced in the film and television industry with screen credits in feature film, documentary, television, short fiction and/or animation can apply. The AFI encourages all those with experience in the screen industry to submit an accreditation application even if they do not fit a specified role listed here or on the voting graph. All applications are individually reviewed and flexibility is allowed for in recognition of the creative nature of the screen industry. Full criteria are listed below.
Download the application form. For a full list of accredited role(s) and voting eligibility see the AFI Awards Voting Graph.
Professional members of the AFI are eligible to vote in the AFI Award categories according to their accredited role(s). They may also be eligible for judging non-feature and television entries via the relevant AFI Awards juries.
