About the AACTA Awards
The Australian Film Institute (AFI) has been recognising and awarding Australian screen excellence through the AFI Awards since 1958.
In August 2011, the AFI launched the Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts (AACTA), with the aim of elevating the status of Australian film and television nationally and internationally, thereby creating greater recognition and opportunities for our talented industry, and creating a stronger link between audiences and great Australian content.
The Inaugural Samsung AACTA Awards were held in January 2012.
A list of nominees and winners from both the inaugural AACTA Awards and past AFI Awards can be found on the winners and nominees section on the AACTA website.
Please note that entries for the 2013 AACTA Awards have now closed.
